E*ntrepreneurship Student Idea Competitions.
Three opportunities to link student classroom projects and innovations to Rensselaer creative events.

Rensselaer students can further advance the new ideas they create for classroom projects into creative competitions that offer opportunities to continue the development of their innovations. Many winning students have taken their ideas even further to win national and international competitions.

Change The World Challenge

THE CHANGE THE WORLD CHALLENGE is a twice yearly contest to develop innovative, technological ideas with the potential of changing the world. The Challenge is open to all RPI students, but interdisciplinary team submissions are particularly encouraged. It encourages the development of innovative technology ideas with the potential of changing the world in energy, water, trust, security, and other areas. Up to 10 cash prizes are awarded to winning entries each semester. Read about the program's details here.

Class of 51

One of Rensselaer's most active, generous and supportive alumni groups - the Class of '51 sponsors an annual competition for undergraduate and graduate students to encourage early development of feasible entrepreneurial ideas. Early development grants are awarded once each year in the Spring semester to individuals or teams who compete and win the competition. In addition to the grants, winning students receive help from experienced, knowledgeable entrepreneurs. Read about the program's details here.
