Sean O'Sullivan earned B.S. in electrical engineering from Rensselaer in 1985. He is one of the founders of MapInfo, a global software company headquartered in Rensselaer's Technology Park. Sean grew up as Computer programmer mastering 19 languages. After working for IBM-RTP, IBM-Boca Raton, DSA, etc., he co-founded a rock band (JSF), Sonic Recording Studios, dot-bomb (NetCentric Corp), etc. besides MapInfo. His urge to widen the sphere took him to University of Southern California where he did MFA in Film Production. After the award-winning documentary film “String Worms at Budd Terrace” about dementia in the elderly, he is looking for next film project which would probably be a romantic comedy or a music video, could be a sci-fi action adventure or may be another documentary!
While covering the war as a documentary filmmaker in Iraq during the period from March-May 2003, O'Sullivan traveled among the city's decimated landmarks, burned-out buildings and looted warehouses;
