The Class of '51 Entrepreneurship Fund

The Class of '51 Entrepreneurship Fund was established as an endowed fund to help transform Rensselaer student ideas into sustainable ventures.

Submissions

After a student or a student team has completed a preliminary plan for their product, process or service innovation according to the requirements of the Submission Criteria and has identified amounts needed for models, testing, materials, development space, special computer time, or similar expense items, the Plan should be submitted online

Judging

The Entrepreneur Review Committee comprised of faculty, graduate students, researchers and alumni will assist the Vice Provost in evaluating the merits of all ideas submitted in comparison with one another.

Submission Deadline

All individual or team plans must be submitted by e-mail by midnight on Wed, Feb 20, 2013. Winning plans will be announced on Mon, Mar 06, 2013. All submissions will receive notice of acceptance or rejection with comments shortly thereafter.

Entrepreneur Support Committee

In addition to the funding grant, winning submissions will receive help from the Entrepreneur Support Committee – – composed of faculty, alumni and resources from the Incubator, Office of Technology Commercialization, and the Severino Center – – who can provide experienced, knowledgeable guidance and counsel to foster the further development of winning projects from the idea phase to the marketplace.
