Bob Bedard is a pioneer of the digital era. He started his career in 1979 as one of the original founders of Prodigy Services. At Prodigy, and later at IBM, he led the development of fundamental technologies and business models that enabled the commercialization of online content and electronic commerce.
In 1998, along with Anthony D’Anna’89, he started Praxinet, Inc., a systems integration firm focused on Internet development and business intelligence. In 2009, Bedard and D’Anna founded deFacto Global, Inc., a fast-growing financial software company whose product deFacto Performance Management is being used by well-known Fortune 500 companies.
Following his graduation from Rensselaer, Bob Bedard began his career as an engineer at Raytheon and also worked in computer sales at Hewlett Packard. In addition to completing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, he also earned an M.S. from Columbia University in 1985.
